SquareClock’s interview during Microsoft Techdays 2008 (french)
Vendredi 29 Février 2008
During the Microsoft Techdays 2008 at Paris, we were pleased to meet the Microsoft and Brainsonic teams to record this interview. It is a great opportunity to introduce SquareClock and our new exiting project for mass market. We really expect this new project to become one of the most mind blowing 3D virtual world platforms for deco and home design.
Feature of the day: dynamic depth of field
Mercredi 27 Février 2008
With a real camera, you can tune the the depth of field of your pictures or movies by changing the distance in front of and beyond the focus point. A SquareClock, we thought it could be interesting to allow this virtually. So, users will be able to define a virtual lens focus at one distance using the same ray tracing image. This focus can be changed after rendering the ray tracing image. This feature will be combined with our high dynamic range of exposures to create amazing ray tracing images or videos using the same 3D geometry, materials and camera.
Feature of the day: HDR images
Lundi 25 Février 2008
Using our server side ray tracing engine, SquareClock is able to produce high quality images based on the same set of 3D models, same materials, and cameras. Now our server is able to generate High Dynamic Range images to allow a greater dynamic range of exposures. With a wider range of values between light and dark areas than normal pictures, users are able to tune intensity levels from direct sunlight to shadows using the same picture.
That’s great isn’t it?
Introducing SquareClock Ray tracing engine
Vendredi 22 Février 2008
SquareClock is pleased to introduce our distributed server side ray tracing technology. This technology allows us to create real time and ray tracing images and videos using the same 3D geometry, materials and view points. Using our ray tracing engine, we are able to generate automatically Global Illumination effects for real time scenes but also plugin-less experiences for Macromedia Flash or Microsoft Silverlight.
